Matthew 11:11: "Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he."
Problem:: Jesus described John the Baptist as equal to the greatest prophet. Nevertheless, Jesus promised, the least in the Kingdom of God would be greater than he. Moslems take the word least to be a chronological reference and argue that the least in the Kingdom of God would be the last of the prophets. They further assert that this is Muhammad.
Solution:

The text does not say that John the Baptist is greater than other prophets; it says that he is not less than them. He is at least the equal of any other prophet outside the covenant of Jesus. As Muhammad is outside the Covenant of Jesus, he can be no greater than John the Baptist, assuming him to be a prophet at all.
John was the last prophet before the Kingdom of Heaven was preached. By the Moslem argument he should be called the least. Thus the term refers to status and not to time. If Muhammad is the least in the Kingdom of God, then he is less important than Jesus, Paul or even Agabus.
